Morocco has maintained a solid core of the 2022 Morocco World Cup squad for this World Cup, but one of the new names in the team is striker Soufiane Rahimi.
Rahimi is a 30-year-old striker who plays for Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates. Rahimi won the Pro League this past season and won the AFC Champions League Elite two years ago.
Rahimi is one of the best players in the Asian continent, which earned him call-ups for Morocco's senior team and for Morocco's Olympic soccer team at the Paris Summer Olympics in 2024.
Rahimi played in the last two friendly matches for Morocco to prepare for the 2026 World Cup. He played 45 minutes against Madagascar, where he scored a goal, and 45 minutes against Norway last week.

Outside of football, Rahimi keeps his personal life very private, but he has another family member who plays professional soccer.
What We Know About Soufiane Rahimi's Family
Soufiane Rahimi is married to Widad Rahimi, and the couple has two sons. Their family life is kept very private, but Rahimi's wife has been seen supporting her husband during Al Ain and Morocco games.
Rahimi's wife was supporting him in person during the 2025 AFCON, which was played in Morocco a couple of months ago.
Rahimi has a brother who plays with him at Al Ain. His brother is Houssine Rahimi, who is 24 years old and also plays as a striker. Soufiane Rahimi is more recognized, but Houssine Rahimi is considered a player to watch for the future.
Their father is Mohamed "Youari" Rahimi, who has been the main kit man for Moroccan club Raja Club Athletic for 40 years. Their father also played soccer, but his career was cut short after he suffered a road accident.
