Disney+ subscribers are going to be getting more college football coverage this fall.
As more and more live sports head to streaming networks like Netflix, Peacock, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. Disney's streaming platform will be home to more college football coverage throughout the 2026 season.
Disney announced during its Q3 earnings call to shareholders Wednesday that more college football simulcasts will be coming to Disney+ this fall.
ESPN's "College GameDay" has already been simulcast on the platform. It's unclear what, beyond the college football pregame show, will be airing live on Disney+. However, it's safe to say that it will be a lot more than what it has been.
Disney announced the big news this week.
“Meanwhile, we continue to bolster ESPN’s place as the front door for sports fans as we build out ESPN’s ‘marketplace of sports,’ creating a single destination for fans,” the company said, according to Sportico’s Jacob Feldman. “To date, we have relationships with the NFL, MLB, Fox One, and, launched just yesterday, the CW Network, where more than 800 annual hours of CW Sports will stream live on the ESPN app for viewers with an ESPN Unlimited subscription plan. We are encouraged that a growing number of subscribers are taking advantage of these options.”
College football fans excited for more

The 2026 college football season is set to begin in less than a month.
