Did NBC Cut Out Part Of GreenDay's Performance?

GreenDay.

NBC.

GreenDay just took the field before Super Bowl 60.

The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks will kick off shortly after 6:30 p.m. E.T. on Sunday evening. The game will be airing live on NBC. Before kickoff, iconic American rock band GreenDay took the stage.

GreenDay, known for songs like "Holiday" and "American Idiot," performed a few songs in front of the Levi's Stadium crowd. The fans seemed to very much enjoy the performance on Sunday night.

But during the performance, NBC decided to bleep out part of what GreenDay was singing on stage.

What was bleeped out?

It's unclear at this time what exactly was bleeped out. GreenDay was probably bleeped for a swear word.

However, in the past, GreenDay has changed the lyrics of some of its songs to take shots at President Trump.

GreenDay didn't hint at doing anything too political before getting on stage.

“We are super hyped to open Super Bowl 60 right in our backyard,” lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong said. “We are honored to welcome the MVPs who’ve shaped the game and open the night for fans all over the world. Let’s have fun! Let’s get loud!”

The Super Bowl, meanwhile, is scheduled to kick off shortly after 6;30 p.m. E.T. The game will air on NBC.
