Legendary college basketball announcer Dick Vitale has been enjoying watching Caitlin Clark this season. In fact, he has been full of praise for the Indiana Fever star, which he often shares on social media.
Vitale has expressed belief that Clark is a legitimate MVP candidate, as well as highlighted the fact that the Fever guard has been "invaluable to the WNBA." The ESPN icon also called her and Fever teammate Kelsey Mitchell the "most explosive backcourt" in the league.
Furthermore, Vitale has also come to the defense of Clark in the past, calling out how WNBA players have treated the 24-year-old sharpshooter. The iconic media personality added that Clark deserves to be treated like "royalty."

Most recently, Vitale once again shared more compliments for Clark. After saying that she is having a "fantastic year," the 87-year-old sportscaster shared another post noting that she has been exciting and fun to watch.
"Yes @caitlinclark22 has played all yr like s SOLID GOLD PTPER [prime-time performer]," Vitale wrote on X. "She has been the 3 S star SUPER SCINTILLATING & SENSATIONAL!"
Sure enough, Clark deserves the praise and recognition she has been getting from Vitale and other fans and media personalities. She is averaging 21.9 points on an efficient 45% shooting from the field, along with 3.9 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.0 steal per game.
Clark is third in the WNBA in scoring and first in assists, highlighting how impactful she has been for Indiana. With her leading the way, the Fever have climbed to a 22-12 record, good for fourth in the standings.
