Dianna Russini appears to have been caught in a lie.
The former NFL insider appeared on a podcast earlier this year and told a story about getting pulled over for texting and driving. Russini claims that she was pulled over while attempting to break news about the Bills' firing of Sean McDermott. She says that she was ultimately able to FaceTime an NFL head coach, who talked the police officer out of giving her a ticket.
But body cam footage from the traffic stop has surfaced. And, according to the footage, there was no phone call with an NFL head coach.

Adam Herbets of the Center Square posted video of the traffic stop. The seven minute, 10 second video appears to include the entire traffic stop. And there is no phone call with an NFL head coach.
What really went down during the traffic stop
The video does not show Russini FaceTiming with an NFL head coach. However, it does show her talking to the police officer about his favorite NFL team - the Vikings. Ultimately, the police officer allowed Russini to get off with a warning.
“I’m an NFL reporter, and I just broke that Sean McDermott got fired from the Bills. And that I what I was just sending to send [sic], a tweet. I was gonna pull over, because I have to make calls. I know you don’t care, but I just wanted you to know my reason why," Russini explained.
Later in the conversation, the police officer explained: “I’m gonna cut you a break on the cellphone. I understand your job requires you to be on the phone a lot. Just try to wait ‘til you get home, OK?”
