The Phoenix Mercury may have lost to the Chicago Sky on Tuesday, 77-66, and snapped their three-game winning streak. However, the loss wasn't without its positives.
DeWanna Bonner finished with 12 points, seven rebounds, one steal and one block in the game. With her performance, she made history by climbing the WNBA all-time rebounding list.
Entering the game, Bonner had already recorded 3,310 rebounds in her career and needed seven rebounds to surpass Indiana Fever legend Tamika Catchings (3,316 rebounds) for sixth place.
Bonner grabbed her seventh rebound in the fourth quarter. It came with 4:09 left to play after Sydney Taylor's missed 3-pointer.

The WNBA celebrated the milestone on social media and congratulated Bonner.
"Another feat for the vet," the WNBA wrote, along with a graphic of Bonner's new career tally. "With her 7th rebound in tonight’s game, DeWanna Bonner passed Tamika Catchings on the all‑time rebounds list, moving into 6th place."
Bonner is now just behind Tina Charles (4,262), Sylvia Fowles (4,006), Candace Parker (3,467), Nneka Ogwumike (3,424) and Rebekkah Brunson (3,356) on the all-time rebounding list.
Bonner is averaging 5.1 rebounds per game this season. With 22 games left to play, she's well on track to surpass Brunson before the regular season ends and crack the top five.
For what it's worth, climbing the rebounding list wasn't the only historic feat that Bonner achieved in the game. She also became just the third player ever to reach 8,000 points, joining Diana Taurasi and Tina Charles.
