Colorado football coach Deion Sanders isn't afraid to be brutally honest at the podium, that's for sure.
Sanders was at Big 12 Media Days this Tuesday to discuss a plethora of topics, including his outlook for the 2026 season. Despite dealing with health concerns over the past few years, he's feeling great this summer.
“Now I’m here with full strength, full energy,” Sanders said. “I got that thing back. I got that swagger back. I’ve got that dawg back. I got that charisma back.”
Sanders later addressed why he's not in the newest edition of EA Sports College Football. It turns out the Hall of Famer didn't receive a lucrative offer to be part of the video game franchise.
"If I’m not in the game, they’re probably not paying enough," Sanders said, via Brett McMurphy of On3.

The pressure is on Coach Prime this season.
After the Buffaloes finished the 2025 season with an underwhelming 3-9 record, Sanders made it clear that better days are ahead.
“I’m not happy with nothing right now,” Sanders said. “I don’t think it’s a motivation thing as it’s more a part of life. This fan base, the school, Rick (Georgie)… everybody deserves better than this, and they expected better than this. I expected to be much better than this and we’re going to give them much better than this…starting tomorrow.”
Colorado finished last season ranked No. 112 in total offense and No. 121 in total defense. Technically speaking, it shouldn't be hard for Sanders' squad to improve this fall.
