Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy has long played into the Angel Reese vs. Caitlin Clark rivalry.
The rivalry had another chapter on Sunday. The Indiana Fever took on the Atlanta Dream in a big WNBA regular season game on Sunday afternoon. The game aired nationally on ESPN.
Clark ultimately led the Fever to a big win, taking down Reese and the Dream in overtime. Reese had a chance to win the game at the buzzer, but she couldn't get her game-winning layup to fall. The game went into overtime and the Fever were able to pull away from the Dream.
Clark could be seen laughing at Reese's missed layup attempt, caught by ESPN's cameras as the game headed into overtime.
Unsurprisingly, that moment quickly went viral on social media.

Portnoy, a die-hard Caitlin Clark fan, taunted Reese on social media immediately following her blown layup attempt at the buzzer. He enjoyed it, to say the least.
"ANGEL REESE AT THE BUZZER FOR THE WI……/ ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️," he shared immediately on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday night.
"Big win for the Fever and Mvp Caitlin Clark."
It was a big win for the Fever, who improved to 23-12, first in the Eastern Conference Division, on Sunday evening. The Fever are looking like a legitimate WNBA Finals contender at this point in the season. Clark is playing at an MVP level while Kelsey Mitchell is looking like a legitimate star, too.
When Clark and the Fever are playing like this, they're extremely hard to beat, as Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream learned the hard way on Sunday evening.
Perhaps we'll get a Fever vs. Dream rematch in the first round of the WNBA Playoffs later this fall. That would be another fun chapter to this rivalry.
