Danica Patrick will be part of FOX’s Freedom 250 Grand Prix broadcast in Washington, D.C. on Sunday.
IndyCar will head to Washington, D.C. this weekend, for a special race in celebration of America’s 250th birthday. The American racing sport will have a grand prix race in downtown Washington, D.C. on Sunday, August 23.
The race is set to air at 1:00 p.m. E.T. on FOX and FOX One. FOX announced on Wednesday its official broadcasting team. Patrick has a special role, serving in a unique analyst gig for the network.
She’ll be part of the prerace show, beginning at 11:30 a.m. E.T.
“Four-time INDIANAPOLIS 500 champion Helio Castroneves and former INDYCAR driver Danica Patrick, the most successful woman in open-wheel racing history and the highest-finishing female in the INDIANAPOLIS 500, join Emmy Award-winning host Chris Myers, for a special 90-minute prerace show that will delve into the day’s landmark event while honoring all four branches of the United States military,” Fox Sports announced on Wednesday.
