Danica Patrick is facing some scrutiny online as she has announced that she is entering a new life phase at 44 years old.
The former NASCAR and IndyCar driver, who retired from professional racing in 2018, has announced that she's getting into the DJ world. Patrick spent some time partying with DJs during a festival in Colorado. It sounds like she's going to make that lifestyle a priority moving forward.
Patrick recently celebrated her 44th birthday.
"I’m so in my DJ era," she wrote.
Popular U.S. DJ John Summit responded: "Great seeing ya 🙌🙌."

Few "careers" have more polarizing views than DJs. Some love them, others despise them. But it's clear where Patrick stands.
However, the former NASCAR and IndyCar driver is facing some scrutiny for her announcement. Some believe she's too old and needs to pursue other things.
"It’s pathetic to be 44 and bragging about your DJ party life," one fan wrote.
"I think she must have hired a new publicist, trying to keep her name out there. Nothing wrong with that. I hope she'll still be doing Indy this year," one fan added.
"Nobody cares what you do. Go away leave us all alone," one fan added.
"Why does she think anyone cares what she does, She is always trying to be relevant when she is not," one fan added.
Patrick does have more free time on her hands now
Patrick was recently let go from her role with SkySports for the 2026 Formula 1 season.
"From my first Sky Sports F1 race in Austin to my last 5 years later… I had such a blast! The Sky team was so much fun (thank you all), I saw so many amazing new race tracks and cities, and got to be part of a huge boom in F1!" she announced.
"I called after the last race in 2025 and said it was time for me to move on and I was so grateful for the opportunity and experience I was given!
"….and now due to my deep exposure to F1, I will be glued to my TV for the season starting this weekend, like every other fan!"
As Patrick has more time on her hands, it sounds like she'll be partying it up.
