Danica Patrick is taking to social media to defend her "summer skiing" outfit from over the weekend.
The former NASCAR and IndyCar star did some skiing in Colorado over the weekend. Patrick, 43, purchased a mountain home last year. The former racing star, who retired in 2018, has been staying active through skiing, tennis, golf and more.
Patrick and some of her friends and family members enjoyed a nice skiing weekend in Colorado at the end of March. It was warm enough outside to wear quite the outfit on the slopes, too. Patrick turned heads in a bikini while skiing down the mountain.
Photos of the outfit quickly went viral on social media.

Patrick received some praise and some criticism for her outfit.
"LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! ..." one fan wrote.
"Her 15 minutes are up," another fan added.
"Good example for kids?..... lol....she has become so yesteryear," another fan wrote.
Others, meanwhile, enjoyed it.
But Patrick isn't apologizing, regardless. The former NASCAR and IndyCar driver defended her "summer skiing" outfit on social media.
Patrick admits that she is ready for summer
Patrick made it clear that she had fun on the mountain, while adding that she is very much ready for summer.
"The bikini skiing signifies summer is on its way and I think that will do it for the very short Colorado season. And yes, I did get a slight sunburn. 😜," she admitted in an Instagram post on March 23.
Patrick's fans appreciated the photos, too.
"Looking very healthy," one fan wrote.
"Epic," one fan added.
"Now that's how you ski," one fan shared.
The skiing slopes will soon be closing, though Patrick will make sure to stay active, hitting up the golf course, the tennis courts and more.
