Danica Patrick has a lot of history with the Daytona 500.
The former NASCAR and IndyCar driver has a storied racing history. In 2013, she became the first woman to lead laps at the Daytona 500, as she led from lap No. 90 until lap No. 91. She ultimately finished in eighth place, becoming the best-performing woman in Daytona 500 history.
"You spend a lot of time thinking about what to do when the time comes," Patrick said after the race. "I kept asking up above what was working. You needed a hole, you needed people to help you out. I had a little bit of help today here and there, but I felt like if I was going to dive low, I had a feeling I was going to get freight-trained. ... At the end of the day, it was a solid day."
Patrick has since gotten into broadcasting and business work.
Of course, she still manages to have fun, too. Patrick turned heads in a "tiny" swimsuit photo shared to Instagram.
