Earlier this summer UFC put on one of its biggest events ever with the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House. Heading into that event, there were tons of concerns that it would be affected by a big storm. When the storm avoided the event entirely, some people started asserting that there was a conspiracy to ensure it went off as planned.
The conspiracy is that the UFC got the help of "secret military weather technology" to redirect the storm away from the White House prior to the June event. While such technology has never been proven to exist at a level where it can alter storm trajectory, it hasn't stopped people from asserting it does.
So when given a chance to interview UFC President Dana White, TMZ's Michael Babcock asked White straight up if they got help from such technology. White flatly denied it and said that while they were tracking the storm with the help of the military and thought for sure they would get hit, they ultimately avoided it.
"One of my longtime friends... The biggest conspiracy theorist I ever met in my life... He probably believes that we used some secret military stuff to break up the storm. I can promise you it did not happen. We thought it was hitting us, the President thought it was hitting us... We had military meteorologists all over this thing and this guy was telling us 'We're gonna get hit,'" White said.

"I get how these things happen and how they start. But there was absolutely no military, you know. We thought we were getting hit.
"If you watch the documentary you'll see everyone was battening down the hatches because we thought we were gonna get hit, stuff's gonna get damaged, everything's gonna get wet. So we were just ready to roll with whatever hits. And then the storm rolls right around."

It was certainly a lucky break for White as the event went off without any issues afterwards (at least as far as potential interruptions go). There was controversy of course, but mostly involving the talent and having almost nothing to do with any of the preparations.
It even made history, becoming the first UFC event in history to feature all fight wins come by way of knockout.
