Longtime college basketball announcer and sports media personality Dan Dakich is ripping WNBA coach Stephanie White for her pregame comments.
White, the head coach of the Indiana Fever, ripped the "outside forces" that have been wreaking havoc on the WNBA as of late.
“This isn’t necessarily for those people that are in this room; this is more for an online community that’s trying to create narratives that simply don’t exist,” White said. “Trying to create a fabrication or distortion of who I am, of what I’m about. Our players’ success, our players’ health and wellness, our players’ safety is always a top priority for me. One of the things I pride myself on is my relationships with players.”
“For those who have anything to say about the play in the last game, I didn’t see the play in real time,” White continued. “I went straight to a press conference. I thought the play got called right. Thankfully, Sophie is OK. Was it egregious? Absolutely. When you have a chance to watch that over and over and over on replay, you can see that. I didn’t have that in real time.”

Dakich, who played collegiately at the University of Indiana, is not happy.
The longtime analyst sounded off on White during his show on Wednesday afternoon, calling her a minor league coach.
Dakich rips White for her comments
Dakich was unhappy with White for several reasons.
"Somebody knocks your player on their (butt) with a flagrant foul, and if you are in a situation where the media will ask you about it, you always lead with defending your players," Dakich said. "That is not what Stephanie White did. That is not what Stephanie White does, but she claims that she does."
Dakich continued.
"Again, this is why you are a minor league coach," he said of White. "This is why you don't need to see it, honey, you don't. You don't need to see it. You simply need to know that your player got clotheslined, and you come in, and you defend your player.
"It's the same thing with the Alyssa Thomas throat punch."
He's very fed up.
"Oh man, she is the dumbest coach I've ever seen," Dakich said. "Love, grace, humility, integrity... and you can go to hell if you don't love grace and integrity? She is the dumbest human being to ever coach a professional sport."
