Azzi Fudd was forced to watch on as Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings dropped to 20-15 on the 2026 WNBA season, falling to Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever 98-87 on Friday night. Now, the Wings will look to bounce back on Monday when they face Gabby Williams and the Golden State Valkyries.
Fudd has been one of the top rookies in the WNBA during her first year in Dallas. Playing in 30 games, the former UConn Huskies star is averaging 13.1 points on 45.6% shooting, 1.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 31.7 minutes per game, helping the Wings contend for a spot in the playoffs.
But ahead of Dallas' 94-76 loss to the Golden State Valkyries on August 7, Fudd was experiencing some soreness in her right knee, which forced her to miss that game. Since then, Fudd has now missed four straight games due to the knee issue, including against the Valkyries, Minnesota Lynx, Toronto Tempo and the Fever.
