Azzi Fudd watched on as Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings dropped their third straight game on Sunday, falling to 19-14 on the 2026 WNBA season after a 103-90 loss to Olivia Miles and the Minnesota Lynx. Now, the Wings will look to get back on track when they return to Dallas to host Marina Mabrey and the Toronto Tempo on Wednesday.
While Fudd struggled out of the gate to begin her rookie season, the former UConn Huskies guard has still been one of Dallas' best players in 2026. In 30 games, including 24 starts, Fudd is averaging 13.1 points on 45.6% shooting, 1.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
Unfortunately for Fudd and the Wings, the No. 1 overall pick has been dealing with an injury over the last week, one that has affected her playing time.

Ahead of the Wings' 94-76 loss to Veronica Burton and the Golden State Valkyries on Friday, Fudd was ruled out after her right knee unexpectedly flared up during warmups, forcing her to miss the game. The injury also caused her to miss Sunday's loss against the Lynx.
And while Fudd has returned to practice for Dallas, the Wings decided that the rookie isn't quite healthy enough to play, ruling Fudd out for Wednesday's matchup against the Tempo.
Wings forward Jessica Shepard, who hurt her right ankle against Minnesota, was also ruled out, while forward Alysha Clark was listed as questionable with a back issue.
Fudd will hope to make her return in the Wings' next game on Friday at 7:30 p.m., hitting the road to face Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
