The Dallas Cowboys will be traveling to Brazil for a Week 3 showdown against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
The team’s iconic cheerleaders are coming, too.
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders announced on Instagram that they are ready for the historic trip to South America. It’ll be the first time that the Cowboys play on the continent. They’re taking on the Ravens at 4:25 p.m. E.T. on Sunday.
The team’s cheerleaders will be making the trip, making several special appearances throughout the weekend.
“rio ready! 🇧🇷💘🪽,” they shared.
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders paid tribute to their roots over the weekend, as well.
Cowboys vs. Ravens has field concerns, though
While the game is happening, there are concerns about the field in Brazil.
The game will be played at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
“It’s unbelievable that we’re playing on a field like this. Both penalty areas are bad as [expletive],” Agustin Rossi, goalie for the Flamengo Football Club, said last week. “If you look at it, there are bumps everywhere. There’s still going to be an NFL game here during the international break. After that game, I hope the field is in better shape.”
But, while there are concerns, the game will move forward as scheduled.
“We talked a little bit today with the operations people,” said head coach Brian Schottenheimer. “[Vice president of football operations] Todd Williams and his team have been in direct contact with the league. The league seems to feel like everything’s going to be fine and, in reality, we were focused on this [game against the Commanders].
“But, I have no concerns. I’m aware of some of the quotes and stuff, but again, I trust that the league’s going to make the right decision and they’ll get the field up to standard. Todd Williams and his team, operationally, were talking to the league office; and they were working through that last night and into today.”
Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. E.T. on Sunday.
The game will air on CBS.
