Did Dak Prescott take an unnecessary shot at C.J. Stroud following Sunday’s 34-30 shootout at NRG Stadium.
The Dallas Cowboys took down the Houston Texans in large part because of Prescott’s connection with CeeDee Lamb. The superstar wideout had 17 catches for 189 yards and the go-ahead touchdown with 40 seconds remaining.
After leading the Cowboys to victory on Sunday, Prescott shook hands with Stroud at midfield. The audio from their brief postgame exchange was shared on Tuesday night, and let’s just say fans are questioning Prescott’s comments.
“Just shake it off,” Prescott told Stroud. “Go get some wins, bro. Get some wins going, brother.”
While that may sound like words of encouragement, NFL fans are convinced Prescott was throwing shade at Stroud and the 0-4 Texans.

“Tell 4 get some playoff wins,” a Texans fan fired back.
“That was so disrespectful,” one fan wrote.
“Dak talking too much for a 2-2 team,” a second fan commented.
“Nah idc these are fighting words,” another fan said.
When it rains, it pours for Stroud.
Even though Stroud played well in Week 4 (347 passing yards and two touchdowns), fans continue to mock him for his team’s 0-4 start.
What makes this season even more concerning for Stroud is that he failed to secure a long-term contract before Week 1. He needs to step up if he wants to earn a lucrative extension.
The Texans will face the Tennessee Titans this Sunday. If they lose that game, their season will almost certainly be over.
