The Buffalo Bills have another injury concern involving wide receiver D.J. Moore, who did not participate in Wednesday’s practice because of a shoulder injury.
Moore’s continued absence leaves quarterback Josh Allen without a key receiving option as Buffalo prepares to face the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Moore initially injured his shoulder against the Detroit Lions in Week 2. He aggravated the issue against the New England Patriots and subsequently missed Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Buffalo still secured a dramatic 37-34 overtime victory. Allen threw for 210 yards and a touchdown, then rushed for 121 yards and another score to help the Bills escape with the win.
However, relying on Allen’s mobility cannot replace a healthy passing attack. Moore had recorded 12 catches for 178 yards and a touchdown before his latest absence, giving Buffalo another valuable option when available.
Head coach Joe Brady and the medical staff will monitor Moore’s progress throughout the week. His absence from Wednesday’s practice is concerning, but it does not automatically rule him out for Sunday.
The Bills also listed defensive tackle Ed Oliver as a non-participant because of a knee injury. Receiver Joshua Palmer was limited with a shoulder issue, potentially creating further challenges for Buffalo’s preparations.

The Bills enter Week 6 at 4-1 and travel to Las Vegas looking to extend their winning streak. Moore’s availability will be important as the team prepares for a Raiders defense capable of putting pressure on Allen.
If Moore cannot return to practice, Buffalo may need to lean more heavily on its remaining receivers and running game. Allen has shown he can carry the offense, but getting Moore back would give the Bills a more balanced attack.
For now, his status remains uncertain as the team awaits further progress during the week.
