Curt Cignetti's wife is ready for the national title game.
The No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers are set to take on No. 10 Miami in the College Football Playoff national title game on Monday night. Indiana and Miami will kick off shortly before 8 p.m. E.T. Cignetti is ready to go.
“You don’t go to war with warm milk and cookies,” Cignetti said before kickoff on Monday night.
He's ready for battle.
“I think it’s time to sharpen the saw now, throw those warm fuzzies over out the door,” Cignetti said. “That’s sentimentalism. It’s time to go play a game against a great opponent. We’ve got to have a sharp edge going into this game.”

Cignetti's wife, Manette Lawer, is trending on social media before kickoff on Monday evening.
The wife of the Indiana Hoosiers head coach is a successful lawyer. They met while they were both in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
The couple met during the 1980s.
"Manette and Curt Cignetti’s story is fit for a Hollywood romance. The two met each other in Indiana, Pennsylvania, while visiting their parents on a break from college. At that time, Curt’s father, the legendary Frank Cignetti, was the head coach at IUP. This is sometime during the late 80s," Essentially Sports wrote.
"It didn’t take long for the two to hit it off. They attended a party, were out again the next day, and then dated for three to four weeks. This was a long-distance relationship because Manette was in Pittsburgh, and Curt was the quarterback in Houston. Shortly thereafter, Curt proposed to Manette."
Cignetti and his family life
The Indiana Hoosiers head coach and his wife have three children: Curt Cignetti Jr., Carly, and Natalie.
There's a lot of sports in the family.
If Indiana is lucky enough to win on Monday night, the head coach will surely be looking for his wife of nearly 40 years.
Kickoff on Monday night, meanwhile, is set for 7:50 p.m. E.T.
