Cristiano Ronaldo has already made a great impact at UD Almeria just a few days after it was announced that the Portuguese had acquired 25% of the club's shares.
According to beIN Sports, Ronaldo, 41, took over the club's Instagram account and helped it go from 400,000 to nearly 3 million followers in a matter of hours.
"The Cristiano Ronaldo effect!" the cited outlet wrote. "Just hours after it became official that the Commander acquired 25% of UD Almeria, the club's social media exploded — jumping from 400,000 followers to nearly 3 million in a matter of hours. Instant impact… on and off the pitch."

The Al Nassr star acquired a percentage of the club's shares that play in LaLiga Hypermotion (Spanish second division) through CR7 Sports Investments, a new subsidiary of his company, CR7 SA, through which the Portuguese manages his investments.
"For some time, I have had the ambition to contribute to football beyond the field. UD Almeria is a Spanish club with a solid base and clear growth potential. I wish to work with the team that leads it to support the club in its new phase of growth," Ronaldo said, via ESPN.
UD Almeria president Mohamed al Khereiji also expressed his satisfaction after Ronaldo's investment was confirmed.
Al Khereiji said, "He is considered the best on the field, he knows the Spanish leagues very well, and he understands the potential of what we are building here both in terms of the team and the youth academy."
UD Almeria is currently in third place in its league, with 49 points after 28 games, behind only Castellon (28 games, 49 points) and Racing (28, 53).
