The Kansas City Chiefs topped the Indianapolis Colts in overtime in Week 2 of the 2026 NFL regular season.
The Chiefs topped the Colts, 33-30, on Sunday evening. Kansas City topped Indianapolis with a game-winning field goal in overtime. The Chiefs improved to 2-0 on the season with the victory.
NFL fans, though, were a bit annoyed by NBC’s broadcast on Sunday evening. Fans were irked by NBC’s shots of a celebrating Taylor Swift in the crowd. They made it clear that they found her a bit “obnoxious.”
“That’s my husband!” she could be heard yelling.
It wasn’t just Swift’s behavior that had fans irked, too.
NFL fans felt that NBC announcer Cris Collinsworth was showing a clear “bias” toward Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs on Sunday evening.
But that’s nothing new.
NFL fans accuse Collinsworth of ‘bias’
NFL fans were irked.
“Listening to Collinsworth gush over the Chiefs is almost making me throw up. I think he wants to be Mahomes boyfriend,” one fan wrote.
“Never have him be on a Chiefs game. He clearly has a thing for Mahomes,” one NFL fan added.
“He’s such a cheerleader for the Chiefs,” one fan added.
Collinsworth, for what it’s worth, has defended his love for Mahomes and the Chiefs in the past.
“Honestly, I don’t care if anyone thinks I like Patrick Mahomes, because I do. I do like the guy,” Collinsworth said to Kay Adams in 2025. “He’s been one of the most phenomenal players we’ve seen in the league for a long, long time.”
So, while NFL fans might be annoyed by Collinsworth’s apparent “bias,” it’s clear that the Chiefs are really good once again, and the NBC announcer isn’t going to apologize for loving a great player.
The Chiefs improved to 2-0 on the year with the win Sunday night.
