Caleb Downs is preparing for one of the biggest moments of his young football career, but the Dallas Cowboys safety had something to celebrate away from the field before Sunday’s season opener.
Downs has a new ride to go along with his new home in Dallas.
Bill Utter Ford announced Wednesday that Downs has officially joined the dealership’s “family,” with the Cowboys rookie receiving a brand-new 2026 Ford Expedition featuring the Stealth Package.
The dealership shared a video of Downs with the vehicle on Instagram as excitement builds for his first regular-season NFL game.
“Big moves call for a big upgrade,” Bill Utter Ford wrote on Instagram. “Caleb Downs is officially part of the Bill Utter Ford family, and we got him set up in a brand-new 2026 Ford Expedition with the Stealth Package!”
Caleb Downs Gets New Ride Before Cowboys Debut
The dealership also offered Downs a welcome to his new NFL home.
“Caleb, we’re excited to have you here in Dallas,” the post continued. “We can’t wait to watch you play and see all the great things ahead!”
It’s been quite a year of change for Downs.
The Cowboys selected the former Ohio State star with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft after a decorated college career that established him as one of the country’s premier defensive players.
Downs initially began his career at Alabama before transferring to Ohio State. His combination of instincts, tackling ability and versatility eventually made him one of the most highly regarded defensive prospects in his draft class.
Now comes the part Cowboys fans have been waiting to see.
Caleb Downs Preparing for Cowboys-Giants
Downs’ first regular-season opportunity will come under the lights.
Dallas opens its season Sunday night against the NFC East rival New York Giants, giving Downs an immediate introduction to the intensity surrounding one of the NFL’s biggest rivalries.
The Cowboys will be expecting Downs to contribute immediately to their secondary after investing a first-round selection in him. There will be plenty of attention on what Downs does once the ball is kicked off.
For now, though, the Cowboys rookie appears to be settling into Dallas just fine. New city. New team. New season.
And now a new set of wheels.
