Dak Prescott was visibly frustrated after the Dallas Cowboys suffered a narrow 34-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. After all, the veteran quarterback knew they had a chance to secure the victory, only to blow it.
Dallas seemed to have the game in its hands after a pass interference penalty moved them to the Ravens’ two-yard line with less than 25 seconds remaining. However, they were unable to score a touchdown after a string of unfortunate mistakes, forcing them to go for a 23-yard field goal to tie the game.
After that, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson connected with wideout Zay Flowers for a 27-yard gain. It set the stage for kicker Tyler Loop, who delivered a 56-yard field goal to give Baltimore the victory.

“Yeah, frustrated as hell,” Prescott said. “Excuse me. Embarrassed. We call ourselves the best offense. You know GOTI (Greatest Offense There Is), and we get down to the one-yard line and we don’t put it in. Yeah, it just sucks. Not a lot of words or full explanation of it.”
Prescott also pushed back against the notion that the Cowboys’ defense was responsible for the loss. While the Ravens’ final drive exposed problems on the defensive end, the quarterback placed much of the emphasis on the team’s offense, which could have closed the game earlier.
“Defense shouldn’t even have been in that position,” Prescott added. “You know those guys over there saying ‘it’s on us’? Absolutely not. We’ve got to put the game away. Period.”
The loss has left Dallas with a 1-2 record. The Cowboys will face the Houston Texans next in Week 4.
Sure enough, hopes are high that Prescott and the Cowboys’ offense have learned their lesson from the mistakes they made against the Ravens. Houston has yet to win this season, but Dallas can’t afford to be complacent after its disastrous showing.
