Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are looking to have a strong 2026 season after missing the playoffs for the second straight year in 2025. Quarterback Prescott did all he could for the 7-9-1 Cowboys last year. The 33-year-old finished third in the league with 4,552 passing yards and fourth with 30 passing touchdowns.
The former Mississippi State Bulldogs star completed 404 passes for a 67.3% completion percentage, showing a strong connection with former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens. A high ankle sprain limited CeeDee Lamb. Pickens earned his first All-Pro honor after finishing third in the NFL in receiving yards with 1,429 and eighth in receiving touchdowns with nine.

The addition of Pickens proved instrumental to the offense last season, and after the injury to tight end Princeton Fant earlier this week, the Cowboys have added another weapon. On Thursday, it was announced that Dallas had signed tight end Zack Kuntz off waivers.
Kuntz was selected by the New York Jets with the No. 220 overall pick in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Old Dominion Monarchs standout has yet to record any statistics in the NFL, having bounced around between the Miami Dolphins and Las Vegas Raiders. Dallas head coach Brian Schottenheimer will look to integrate him into the offense.

Dallas will open the 2026 NFL regular season on the road against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 8:20 p.m. ET.
