Jerry Jones has had quite an eventful NFL offseason following the Dallas Cowboys’ disappointing end to the 2025 season. The Cowboys finished the campaign with a 7-9-1 record, which led to them missing the playoffs entirely. The Dak Prescott-led offense was prolific, but the collapse of the defense was one of the biggest reasons behind the Cowboys’ struggles. This has forced Jones to make a lot of bold decisions.

The biggest one was placing the $27.3 million franchise tag on Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens, which he eventually signed in late April. This decision gave Jones and the Cowboys much-needed financial flexibility to address their defensive issues.

The Pickens decision was followed by Jones and Cowboys agreeing to a three year, $105.9 million contract extension with Quinnen Williams and signing veteran pass rusher and two-time Super Bowl champion Von Miller to the roster. Jones has been highly active throughout the offseason as he looks to end the Cowboys’ 30-year Super Bowl drought.

Jones is one of the more active owners in the NFL and he is again in the news ahead of the 2026 season. Jones is set to appear at a special meeting of the Little Rock Touchdown Club on October 12. He will join former President Bill Clinton, with the two set to take the stage together at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock. Other high-profile names in the speaker lineup include Ryan Silverfield, Gus Malzahn, and Emmitt Smith.

Little Rock Touchdown Club President David Bazzel, speaking about the upcoming event, said, “There’s no question this is going to be the biggest thing to happen to the Little Rock Touchdown Club in its history. Bringing arguably two of the most recognized Arkansas natives together — one who led America and the free world and one who’s leading America’s Team — to talk about the Hogs and the university they both attended and love so much, it’s going to be really special.”

The event is scheduled to begin at 11.30 a.m local time, and the tickets can be purchased at LRTouchdown.com.
