Dallas Cowboys fans are convinced that they have a “problem” with star kicker Brandon Aubrey.
Aubrey, an All-Pro kicker, has one of the biggest legs in NFL history. Aubrey can hit from 60-plus with consistency. The star kicker believes that he could extend his range to 70-plus yards if needed, too.
But is having a star kicker as good as Aubrey actually a problem? In a sense, it can be.
The Dallas Cowboys can rely on Aubrey too much, when they should be aggressive with their Dak Prescott-led offense, instead.

On Sunday, the Cowboys have twice gone to a Brandon Aubrey field goal attempt from 60-plus yards. The first one was blocked by Houston; the second was not good and put the Texans in scoring position before the half.
Cowboys fans are becoming more and more convinced that head coach Brian Schottenheimer needs to coach like he doesn’t have a kicker as good as Aubrey.
“Becoming more and more convinced that having a kicker you can count on from 50+ is Actually Bad,” Dave Helman shared on X.
Cowboys fans seem to agree on Sunday
“I agree Shotty is using him as a safety blanket, he’s playing g too safe thinking he can get 3 from anywhere on the field,” one fan wrote.
“65-yard attempt is a fake aggressive play call that puts the Texans one first down away from going up two scores at the half,” one fan added.
“Dave, just keep reposting this. I’m keeping the offense on the field or punting. I knew Houston would end up with a FG instead of Dallas. Middle 8 failure!” one fan added.
“It’s abundantly clear that Schotty calls plays with that in mind… and it’s terrible,” one fan added.
Do the Cowboys actually have an issue?
