The Tennessee Titans made several significant additions to their defense this offseason, including cornerbacks Cor'Dale Flott and Alontae Taylor. Both players have already made their presence felt during training camp, and Flott recently shared his thoughts on what the dynamic duo can bring to the Titans' secondary.
"Alontae (Taylor) is real physical in his press game. Every day I learn from him. I pick his brain, he picks my brain. I like to play off and be technical, and know certain concepts, and stuff like that, so he picked my brain, and I pick his then we go off of that," Flott said.
Taylor recently made a bold prediction, saying that he and Flott could become the NFL's top cornerback duo during the 2026 season. That confidence led reporters to ask Flott why he believes the pair is capable of living up to that lofty forecast.
"It's just who we are. It's how we play. We are just focused on that," Flott said.

The cornerback duo is entering its first season together with the Titans. Flott arrived after spending the first four years of his career with the New York Giants, while Taylor returns to the Volunteer State after beginning his career with the New Orleans Saints, who selected him out of the University of Tennessee in the 2022 NFL draft.
Both cornerbacks are coming off productive 2025 seasons. Flott finished with a 65.6 PFF grade, including a coverage grade of 68.1 that ranked him 33rd among qualifying cornerbacks in coverage. Taylor also turned in a solid campaign, posting a 63.1 PFF grade, including a pass coverage grade of 66.8. This helped him earn a ranking of 40th among the qualified cornerbacks.
Flott is expected to remain on the outside, the same role that he primarily filled in his time with the Giants. Taylor, meanwhile, is making the transition from slot to an outside cornerback role for the first time since his college career with the Vols.
With extensive starting experience between them, Flott and Taylor will be expected to lead the Titans' cornerback room this season. They'll likely be joined by Marcus Harris in the slot, giving the Titans a talented starting trio. While Harris has shown plenty of promise, he enters the season with considerably less starting experience than the team's two outside cornerbacks. That puts lofty expectations on both Taylor and Flott, but it's a challenge they've embraced given the confidence they've displayed throughout training camp thus far.
