Makayla Timpson and the Indiana Fever saw their five-game winning streak come to an end on Thursday night, falling to 24-13 on the 2026 WNBA season after a 91-85 win over Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings. Now, the Fever will look to bounce back on Saturday, facing Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty.
Both the Fever and Wings’ star guards struggled to get things going throughout the game. Bueckers finished with 13 points on 5-of-16 shooting, six rebounds and eight assists, while Caitlin Clark tallied 10 points on 4-of-15 shooting, four rebounds and nine assists. But it was Arike Ogunbowale who carried Dallas to a win with her team-high 32 points.
While Clark may not have had a great game, Kelsey Mitchell did, tallying 37 points. Even forward Makayla Timpson got into the mix, adding 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting and 12 rebounds.

In fact, Timpson achieved a career first with these numbers, marking the first double-double of her two-year career in Indiana.
Timpson has earned a much larger role during her second WNBA season, jumping from 7.1 to 18.3 minutes per game. The former Florida State Seminoles star is averaging 4.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game, earning a spot in the starting lineup over the last six.

WNBA fans took notice of the Fever’s announcement on Timpson’s latest feat, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.
“Congrats KK!” one fan said.
“way to go kk,” added another.
“shoutout KK fr,” wrote a third.
“Huge milestone — first double-double is a big one! Congrats Makayla 💪,” posted a fourth.
“So happy for you KK!!🔥,” commented a fifth on Instagram (IG).
“Let’s go! Great job!” added a sixth (IG).
The Fever will face the Liberty on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET before heading to the Windy City to face the Chicago Sky on Sunday.
