Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is set to officially become a free agent this afternoon and plenty of questions still remain about his NFL future.
The 11-time Pro Bowler has been one of the best players in the league since first breaking out in the mid-2010s. However, there are several conflicting reports when it comes to what he'll do and whether or not he'll return to the Chiefs for a 14th season.
It's hard to imagine Kelce wearing anything but KC Red, and he remains Patrick Mahomes' most-trusted target. But his production has tailed off a bit over the past couple of years, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him sail off into the sunset with his pop superstar fiancee and a spot in Canton all but secured.

Top NFL insiders share conflicting reports on Travis Kelce's future
On Saturday night, The Athletic's Dianna Russini and Jesse Newell reported that Kelce is expected to come back and play another season but that there's no guarantee that it'll be with the Chiefs. Adding that Travis' representatives will likely be talking to "multiple" teams before coming to a decision.
However not long after that, Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press pointed back to his NFL Combine report that if Kelce does come back, it'll only be with the team that drafted him back in 2013.
"Reported this at the combine," Maaddi shared. "Travis Kelce is scheduled to become a free agent next month. A person with knowledge of Kelce’s thinking told The Associated Press the four-time All-Pro tight end will not test the market. If the 36-year-old Kelce returns for a 14th season, it’ll be in Kansas City with coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes."
Travis Kelce connected to NY Giants rumor
Last month, the New York Giants popped up as a potential landing spot for Kelce if he doesn't like the Chiefs offer — which pointed to his relationship with Taylor Swift possibly playing a role.
Per WFAN's Craig Carton: “Rumor is that Travis Kelce wants to come back for another year… Kelce wants to play for the NY Giants! He and his wife can live in NYC! It’s just a rumor — do not sleep on the Giants signing Kelce this offseason!”
Kelce certainly has some tough decisions ahead, but at this point his legacy is cemented. Now it's just a matter of if he does it all in one uniform or chooses to test the waters elsewhere before retirement.
