Spring football is well underway in FBS college football, whetting the appetites of fans across the country. Even in the era of the transfer portal and NIL, just about every power-conference team enters the spring with high hopes for the ensuing fall.
The portal and payments to players, however, aren’t the only changes in the past decade or so. Fewer and fewer teams are playing the traditional spring games that often served as the highlight point for fanbases back in the 2000s and 2010s.
Most teams still participate, of course, and some of the major powerhouses still draw massive crowds. Your team may be among them.
