Colin Kaepernick’s response – or lack thereof – to a $2 million offer is pretty telling this weekend.
The 38-year-old former NFL quarterback received a $2 million interview offer from Clay Travis. The Fox News pundit recently left Outkick and started Sport & State. He’s offering Kaepernick seven figures to the charity of his choice, for a long sitdown interview with no topics off-limits.
“Colin Kaepernick is doing every left wing show on the planet. Open invite @Kaepernick7 , I will donate $2 million to a charity we agree on if you will sit for a one-hour interview with me. One hour. No questions barred. No edits from us @SportNState,” he shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Kaepernick has not responded, though.
The former NFL quarterback, who last played in the league in 2016, does not seem to have any interest in giving attention to Travis. He also does not appear to be interested in Travis’s $2 million charity donation, though Kaepernick has donated plenty to charity over the years.
Kaepernick, who began kneeling for the national anthem in 2016, has not played professionally since he left the San Francisco 49ers after that season.
The ex-NFL quarterback has stayed in the public spotlight, though he doesn’t seem at all interested in taking up Travis on his offer.
Kaepernick says he refuses to watch NFL games, too
While Kaepernick has refused to engage with Travis, he’s also refusing to engage with NFL games this season.
The ex-NFL quarterback only watches college football.
“I’m not gonna support an organization that one, is actively blackballing me, but two, has targeted my brothers who have been protesting as part of this as well,” Kaepernick told NBC News. “I watch college football.”
While Kaepernick continues to boycott the NFL, the professional football league will continue with its Week 3 games on Sunday.
