If you were hoping to hear more of Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd, you're in luck.

Cowherd has been a prominent voice in the sports media industry for well over two decades. He had a successful stint with ESPN before taking his talents to Fox Sports in 2015. It doesn't matter if fans love him or hate him, he's going to find a way to go viral because of a polarizing take. With that being said, his latest act might be a bit too controversial for some people.

During this Wednesday's edition of "The Herd," Cowherd announced that Fox Sports has created an AI version of him that's available to use on their network's app. The longtime radio host said it took several months for Fox Sports to get the cadence down.

"We took a couple of years of all of my shows – that poor app – and we downloaded all my shows. It’s called Sports AI, and you can find it, it just launched on the Fox Sports app," Cowherd said. "It has my cadence, I think stylistically it sounds like me. It was really raw when I first heard it 10 months ago. I just started laughing; I thought it was the craziest thing I ever heard in my life. You could ask it questions; it gives amazing answers, much like this show does. You get the facts, you get the opinions, just go to the app, ask me anything you want about sports, and you’ll get me or the AI version of me."

Judging by the reactions to Cowherd's announcement, there wasn't a single soul in the world of sports asking for an AI version of him.

"I can’t put into words how bizarre it is to see a media talking head not fighting tooth and nail to prevent this from existing at all," Jeff Nowak of Audacy Sports said. "OK, I’ll try: The canary died and Colin decided to cook it for dinner."

"Not a single person on planet earth asked for this," sports reporter Katie Caldwell commented.

"Absolutely insane that you people couldn’t read the room on this," one fan replied. "Awful."

"This is by far the dumbest thing I have read about today," a second fan wrote.

"We just drained an entire lake so people can hear awful takes from AI Colin Cowherd," another fan said.

Cowherd defends the use of AI.

While plenty of media members are strongly against the use of AI, Cowherd doesn't see an issue with it.

"I've always said the media exaggerates everything - not the sports media, the political media," Cowherd said. "This is going to be jet fuel for the economy. AI found disease four times faster than our best doctors. It's not replacing doctors, it'll be used by doctors to save lives... I think AI is going to be a massive economy."

Now that Cowherd has an AI version of himself, it'll be interesting to see if this hurts or helps the Fox Sports brand.
