Mexico manager Javier Aguirre has issued an explosive statement against FIFA over the schedule change for the Mexico vs. England World Cup Round of 16 clash.
However, recent reports suggest the decision can be thrown back into uncertainty.
The Round of 32 encounter is one of the most anticipated matches of the tournament, but Aguirre revealed he was not consulted before the scheduling adjustment was confirmed.

Aguirre did not hide his disappointment with how the decision was made. Mexico coach said, "I can understand reasons and arguments, but they didn't consult me and yes… I'm quite angry."
The Mexico manager said that the new start time has made them rethink almost everything the team does on matchdays despite the storm.
Aguirre added, "It's like a kick in the gut, it changes everything… The plan. It’s not that it’s completely ruined, but almost, because you have to swallow six hours of scheduled training."

Aguirre admitted that Mexico must adapt, but wondered why coaches weren't consulted before making such a big decision.
Mexico Forced to Adjust Before England Clash
Aguirre said that altering a World Cup match schedule has a much greater impact than just showing up at the stadium at a different time due to the storm.
Mexico manager said, "Obviously, we will abide by what FIFA says. I don’t like it at all, nor do my players." He further added, "Of course, the food, the nap, the sleep, the physiotherapy, everything, everything, it seems trivial, but it isn't."
Aguirre feels that even the smallest of the disruptions can have an impact at the highest level, as England is between Mexico and a spot in the Round of 16.
Mexico will now have to adapt to the new schedule in the remaining hours before kick-off, but will try to maintain their focus on the challenge from Harry Kane and company.
