Darius Garland made his long-awaited Los Angeles Clippers debut on Monday in a 114-101 win over the Golden State Warriors. The two-time All-Star registered 12 points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal and two triples in 23 minutes of action. That was Garland’s first game back since Jan. 14 due to a toe injury.

Garland played his second game for L.A. on Wednesday, helping his team to a 130-107 blowout win against the Indiana Pacers. He finished with 12 points and eight assists in 24 minutes. The 6-foot-1 guard looked much better compared to his performance in his Clippers debut.

Garland joined L.A. before the trade deadline as part of the James Hardenblockbuster deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs also sent a 2026 second-round draft pick to the Clippers as part of the trade.

The Clippers are riding a three-game winning streak. They have not lost in March and are looking to keep the momentum going in their next game. This comes in the form of a matchup against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.

Garland, however, will be sidelined against the Spurs. The Clippers announced via the official injury report that the 26-year-old will sit out on Friday to manage his left toe injury.

It does not sound like Garland aggravated his toe issue. L.A. appears to be giving the veteran a night off as it returns to action on Saturday in the tail end of a back-to-back set. The Clippers play twice in two nights on the road. They are scheduled to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday at FedExForum.

John Collins (neck strain) remains out for the Spurs game. Kawhi Leonard, however, is not listed on the injury report. The Clippers superstar is expected to face his former team on Friday.

The Clippers currently have a 30-31 record. As of writing, they are ninth in the Western Conference and one game behind the eighth-seeded Warriors.
