With a contract expiring in the summer of 2027, Mohamed Salah has been linked with a departure from Liverpool. The Reds have been recommended to sign Christian Pulisic as a replacement.
Salah, 33, has been involved in controversies surrounding his role and relationship with head coach Arne Slot this season. The former Feyenoord coach relegated the Egyptian to a secondary role during the first half of this campaign.
Back in December, Salah said, "I can't believe it, I'm very disappointed. I've done so much for this club; everyone can see that over the years, especially last season. To be on the bench, I don't know why. I feel like the club is throwing me under the bus. That's how I feel."
Although things have calmed down since then, chatter about a possible departure for the Egyptian continues during the upcoming summer. Former English forward Emile Heskey spoke about his ideal candidates to replace him.

Christian Pulisic Backed to Fill Mohamed Salah's Shoes at Liverpool
In an exclusive interview with OLBG, shared by London's Press Box PR, Heskey acknowledged that he likes the profile of Christian Pulisic to arrive at Liverpool following a hypothetical Salah departure.
"I actually quite like Christian Pulisic. He is very direct. He probably didn't get as many goals as I would have liked him to get at Chelsea, but I thought he gave defenses problems," Heskey said.
The former Liverpool striker acknowledged that Pulisic, 27, could offer something different to Salah and even to Cody Gakpo, who has also been the subject of reports suggesting he could be moved away from Anfield.
"Obviously, after a good World Cup, being at home with the pressure on him, he is definitely someone who could offer something different to Mohamed Salah or even Cody Gakpo right now."
"Mo left Chelsea to go to Italy and look at what he's done for Liverpool. I think it'd be great to see someone like Pulisic come back into the Premier League in the same way because I'm guessing he would love to show that his time at Chelsea was just a little blip. He was only a young lad when he came over," Heskey added.
