The Kansas City Chiefs are projected to have a dismal losing record in what could be Travis Kelce’s final NFL season in 2026.
The Chiefs missed the playoffs in 2025. Patrick Mahomes suffered a torn ACL in December. Kansas City missed the postseason for the first time since 2014. It was the second-longest postseason streak in NFL history.
Many expect Kansas City to return to the postseason in 2026.
However, one NFL analyst is projecting the Chiefs to have a dismal, losing record. Steven Cheah of Barstool Sports is projecting the Chiefs to have a really rough year.

Cheah is projecting the Chiefs to go 6-11 in 2026, finishing in a tie for last place in the AFC West, along with the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Barstool Sports personality is predicting that the Broncos will win the division at 13-4, while the Chargers will also make the playoffs, at 10-7.
Will this be Kelce’s final season?
Kelce made it clear that he believes he can still play at a high level.
“I’ve still got a lot of love for this game,” Kelce said earlier this offseason. “I want to go out there and prove to myself that I can play at a better level than I did last year. That’s probably the biggest thing for me, is making sure I’m accountable to the guys in this [locker] room and every single play that I’m out there.”
Kelce wants everyone around the team’s offense to improve.
“[Just] being more accountable when the ball is in the air,” Kelce said. “There were a few games last year that I felt like I put on myself. In the blocking world, being able to get my guy so we can spring guys for bigger gains. And just being a better leader.
“When we get stuck with adversity hitting, who’s going to want to be in that foxhole with you. I want to be one of those guys everybody counts on to get us out of that foxhole.”
