The Kansas City Chiefs will attempt to make a big turnaround during the 2026 NFL season after they had an uncharacteristic down year in 2025. Head coach Andy Reid's team went 6-11 last season, their worst record since 2012, missing the playoffs for the first time in over a decade.
This offseason, Kansas City has made many major moves in an effort to return to its Super Bowl-caliber form. This includes bringing in Super Bowl LX MVP running back Kenneth Walker III, former Baltimore Ravens safety Alohi Gilman and re-signing 11-time Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce.
The Chiefs made another big addition to their 2026 roster on Monday, bringing back one of their stars from their recent title-winning runs.

On Monday, one day before Kansas City begins its mandatory minicamp, NFL insider for the "Schultz Report," Jordan Schultz, reported that the Chiefs are planning to sign cornerback L'Jarius Sneed.
"Reunion! The #Chiefs are planning to sign CB L’Jarius Sneed, per sources," Schultz said. "Sneed, whom the team traded to Tennessee in 2024, collected 10 INTs while helping Kansas City win two Super Bowls during his previous tenure there."
Sneed played a big role in the Chiefs' defensive backfield during their Super Bowl victories in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He was traded to the Tennessee Titans for a third-round draft pick and a seventh-round pick swap. The 29-year-old was released by the Titans in March.
Over his six-year NFL career, Sneed has played 69 games, totaling 352 tackles, 21 tackles-for-loss, 43 pass breakups and 10 interceptions.
He now comes back to the Chiefs on a one-year deal that is worth up to $5 million, according to ESPN. It will be interesting to see how big an impact he has on Kansas City's defense during the 2026 season.
