Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will look to keep their undefeated season alive in Week 7, facing off against Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks on “Sunday Night Football.” The Chiefs were coming off a 22-6 Week 6 win over Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers, improving their record to 5-0 on the 2026 NFL season.
After pondering retirement over the offseason, Kelce, 36, elected to stay with Kansas City for his 14th season, signing a new contract with the team. And the former Cincinnati Bearcats tight end has not disappointed through the first five games of 2026, tallying 20 catches for a team-high 299 yards and two touchdowns. Kelce has even tallied 196 yards after the catch, good for the fourth-most in the NFL.
But while Kelce has been healthy during his 14th season with the Chiefs, he was listed on the injury report for the first time this year ahead of the matchup against Seattle.

The Chiefs put Kelce on the injury report for the first time on Wednesday, listing the tight end as a limited participant in practice with an ankle injury. Kelce was also limited in Thursday and Friday’s practices, leaving some concern that he might miss the Week 7 game against the Seahawks.
But on Friday, the Chiefs revealed the game status of their players on the injury report. Yet Kelce did not have a designated game status, meaning he will likely be suiting up for Kansas City vs. Seattle on “Sunday Night Football.”
While Mahomes will have his favorite target against the Seahawks, the Chiefs offense will still be without some key players. Wide receiver Rashee Rice was listed as out with a hamstring/knee injury, while offensive lineman Jaylon Moore will be unavailable with a concussion.
Kelce and the Chiefs will hit the road to face the Seahawks on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET before facing Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos in a Week 8 AFC West showdown.
