The Chicago Sky have been accused of getting a bad return for All-Star forward Angel Reese this afternoon.
Reese, an All-Star forward, was traded from Chicago to Atlanta in exchange for two first round WNBA Draft picks. The Dream gave up first-round picks in both 2027 and 2028 to acquire Reese, along with a 2028 second-round swap.
ESPN's Stephen A. Smith is happy with the move for Reese.
"I'm very, very happy for Angel Reese," Smith said. "The Chicago sky had been awful. They won thirteen games a couple of years ago, went 10-34 last year. I'm used to Angel Reese being in winning situations. Fourteen points, twelve rebounds a game. She's a glue piece. She's somebody that's very, very capable. And Atlanta is coming off a really, really good season. They went 30-14 last year. Lost in the first round, but they still play. And they're still competitive."
However, others are accusing the Sky of getting too little in return for a young, All-Star player.
WNBA fans believe that the Sky should have gotten more for Reese, a first round pick out of LSU in 2024, in their trade with the Dream.

"Sky couldn't even get a marquee player in return. Done with this poverty franchise for real," one fan wrote.
"So happy the Sky organization is kinda dumb and only got picks in return and not Naz Hillmon," one fan added.
"Are the Sky tanking already? They traded their best player for two future 1sts and got no real person back in return," one fan added.
"What a low return for the sky tho, they got fleeced one last time," one fan added.
"See, Chicago Sky is such an unserious organization; how do you not get any players in return for her??" one fan added.
Reese, meanwhile, will get to start fresh with a new franchise, as the Dream will look to contend in 2026.
