Charlotte Flair has done almost everything there is to do in WWE, but there is one type of storyline she has yet to experience.
During an appearance at Fanatics Fest NYC last month, “The Queen” said she had never been involved in a romantic storyline or been paired with a male character in that way. Her comments caught attention because much of her WWE career has centered on championships, rivalries and her status as one of the company’s top performers.
That earlier remark came up during Flair’s recent appearance on “The Power Hour” with Ilona Maher. The host brought up Flair’s interest in exploring a romance angle and asked whether it could eventually happen on WWE television.
“I don’t know. I put it out in the universe. Let’s see if it catches something,” said Flair.
The 14-time Women’s World Champion then explained why the idea appeals to her, pointing out that she has never even had a small romantic tease as part of a WWE storyline.
“No, I just have never been paired with a male or ever had like even like a ‘Hey.’ So, it’ just be like so fun for me.” [25:48 onwards]
It will be interesting to see if her wish for a romance storyline eventually makes it to television. The idea would also give “The Queen” a chance to explore a side of her character that fans have rarely seen.

For now, Charlotte Flair has plenty on her plate on WWE SmackDown. She is locked in a bitter rivalry with Jade Cargill, with their issues having grown beyond a straightforward battle.
The feud intensified after “The Storm” was blamed for injuring Alexa Bliss, Flair’s tag team partner and close friend. Their rivalry spilled into the Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match at SummerSlam 2026, where Flair and Cargill took each other out during their fight atop the ladder. Chelsea Green capitalized on the chaos and walked away with the title.
The situation has since expanded with Tatum Paxley becoming involved alongside Flair and Bliss. Paxley’s unusual obsession with the 14-time Women’s World Champion has added another wrinkle to the ongoing conflict, particularly as Flair has shown discomfort with her behavior despite appreciating the help.
With the rivalry continuing to grow, a romantic storyline may not be on Flair’s immediate agenda. Still, she has made it clear that she is open to the idea if WWE finds the right story for it.
