Charlotte Flair has opened up about her hopes for the next chapter of her life, revealing that becoming a mother is something she wants and that adoption is already one possibility she has considered.
The WWE Superstar discussed motherhood during her appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” podcast, where she also spoke about her bond with young fans and the impact Scarlett Ivory Guillen had on her life.
Flair explained that she does not currently have children, but the idea of becoming a mother is clearly something she has thought about seriously. She also pointed to adoption as a path she could take when the time feels right.
“I just..so I want children. So these are my kids in WWE. Yeah. I don’t have my own right now. I’m sure like I’ll adopt when the time is right.”
The 40-year-old star also discussed how much has changed for women who decide to have children later in life. She believes there are more possibilities available to women in their 40s than there were in previous generations.
“The Queen” then mentioned foster children while explaining that she has not settled on exactly how she will become a mother. Her connection with children at WWE events has already given her a strong emotional attachment to the younger members of the WWE Universe.
“There’s also a lot of foster kids too. So, however I become a mother…but I do feel like I’m a mom too.”
That connection has become especially meaningful for Flair because of Scarlett Ivory Guillen, an eight-year-old WWE fan who developed a close friendship with the superstar.

Scarlett was diagnosed with Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG), a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer, in January 2024. She became known throughout the wrestling community for her courage and her special relationship with Flair after the two first connected through WWE’s community outreach efforts and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
What began as a meeting between a WWE Superstar and a young fan grew into a genuine friendship between Flair and Scarlett’s family. Scarlett later helped design Flair’s Survivor Series 2025 gear, while “The Queen” also attended Scarlett’s First Holy Communion. The two were together at WrestleMania 42 as well.
Scarlett passed away on July 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with DMG. Her death had a profound effect on Flair, who had spoken publicly about the young fan and the perspective their relationship gave her.
The 14-time world champion explained that she has always felt particularly connected to the children she meets at WWE events.
“Every time I see the little kids front row, I’m like. It’s the best. You’re mine, you’re mine, you’re mine, you’re mine. I get so attached to them all.”
That experience also shaped how Flair thinks about purpose and the people who enter her life. Speaking about Scarlett, she reflected on the young girl’s impact and connected it to her own unexpected journey into professional wrestling.
“I know Scarlett’s time on earth served a purpose and a reason. She came, she did what she was supposed to, and we don’t see what she was supposed to do right now, but we know like Reid, I was never supposed to wrestle.”
Flair has not put a timeline on when she hopes to become a mother. For now, she appears open to different paths, including adoption and foster care, while continuing to appreciate the relationships she has built with the young fans who have become such an important part of her life.
