Charles Barkley has an issue with his ESPN work schedule, but it might not be what you think it is.
The legendary NBA star turned analyst joined ESPN this season. Turner Sports' iconic "Inside the NBA" show moved from TNT to ESPN. Many joked that Barkley would quickly be put to work on ESPN, appearing on "SportsCenter," "First Take," "Get Up!" and a handful of other shows at the network.
However, Barkley has rarely appeared on shows outside of "Inside the NBA." Barkley, appearing on "The Dan Le Batard Show" on Wednesday, made it clear that he thought he would be working more.

Barkley made it clear that while he doesn't necessarily want to be appearing on other shows, he's hoping to establish more of a regular schedule with "Inside the NBA."
“We’ve complained, we’ve only been on ESPN four times in three months,” Barkley told Le Batard. “I don’t like that at all. What I was talking about working all the time, because I love watching basketball – I’m not going to do all these damn shows. I’m not gonna be on ESPN One, Two, Three, Deportes, Nacho, Echo, whatever they call it. I’m not gonna be doing all that, but I wish we had been on more during the first half of the season.”
The schedule should increase moving forward, at least.
“They’re gonna start making up some of the days,” Barkley said. “But we only worked one day in December, that was Christmas Day. And we’re only working one day in January, basically…I wish we had worked more.”
With the college football season being over and the NFL season wrapping up, all eyes should turn toward the NBA.
Hopefully, that means we get more of Barkley.
