Former NBA MVP and 11-time All-Star Charles Barkley was invited to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding, and yet, he turned down the opportunity to attend one of the most intriguing events of the summer.
Kelce and Swift had countless celebrities at their wedding at Madison Square Garden, including legendary athletes such as Simone Biles and Patrick Mahomes. During an appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic's "Unfiltered with Ricky Bo and Bill Colarulo," Barkley explained why he chose to sit this event out.
Barkley said he declined Kelce and Swift's invitation because he thought their wedding was "going to be a crap show." We're not kidding.
"I don’t go to weddings or funerals," Barkley said. "But I did get an invite, and I politely declined because I thought it was going to be a crap show. I love Travis and Jason [Kelce], and I’ve only met Taylor one time, but yeah, I did get an invite. But I said, that’s just too much. I just want to hang out and play golf, and I don’t want to dress up and all that other stuff. But I appreciate the invitation; it was pretty special."

It sounded like quite the wedding.
According to TMZ, Kelce and Swift raffled off luxury items to their guests last Friday night.
“Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … attendees at the newlyweds’ star-studded celebration were invited to play games throughout the evening … earning raffle tickets for a chance to win an array of prizes,” TMZ reported. “Among Cartier watches were also multiple designer handbags … but the item that really stole the show was a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle with the license plat “JUST&T MRD” — the same model of classic car the couple famously rode in together on their first date.”
As for the actual ceremony, Adam Sandler had the honor of officiating Kelce and Swift's wedding.
