If anyone wants to get Carson Hocevar away from Spire Motorsports, it is probably going to cost a lot of money or take a lot of patience. Hocevar will be with Spire into the next decade, according to a press release this afternoon.
We don't know exactly how many years this contract is for. However, we know that it is more than just a "long-term" contract. This is an investment for Spire and Hocevar. One they hope ends up with lots of wins and a few championships, too.
Carson Hocevar is only 23 years old. You better get used to seeing him on Sundays. Spire Motorsports made sure that he's going to remain the franchise driver for years to come.
"[D]uring contract negotiation I think I asked if it could read 'if I had a pulse, I would be driving a spire race car,' but into the next decade sounds good too," Hocevar posted on social media. "I am here for a long time in the sport I loved as a kid. [T]hank you, to everyone that has stuck by me."
In a reply to a fan who asked, "How many years?" Carson Hocevar obliged...sort of. "a lot."

Since he debuted with Spire Motorsports in 2023, Carson Hocevar has been defined by racing full send, practically with reckless abandon. It has worked for him, and it has been a great way for him to show off his talents at times. At other times, it has gotten him in trouble and caused him issues with other drivers.
Still, it can't be overstated how exciting it is when he's in the mix up front. You know that something fantastic is bound to happen. He's going to throw a nasty block, he's going to side draft and might even give a tap (or hit) to the car he's racing, and one of these days, he's going to win.
This contract extension says a lot about how much Spire Motorsports believes in Carson Hocevar. He hasn't won a race yet, but Spire has made him their guy for many years to come.
