Miami Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck is taking heat for a "classless" move following a loss in the College Football Playoff national title game.
Indiana topped Miami, 27-21, on Monday evening. The Hoosiers capped a perfect, undefeated season. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes were unable to restore their early 2000s national championship glory.
Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza scored the biggest touchdown of the game on a fourth down scramble.
"That’s one thing about our team," Mendoza told ESPN’s Holly Rowe after the game. "We’re always going to put it all on the line. I want to give all the glory and thanks to God. My offensive linemen blocked perfectly and we were able to execute as a team toward a common goal. Have the Indiana Hoosier synergy to score and to give our team a chance to win the game.
"I had to go airborne. I’d die for my team. Whatever they need me to do. They need me to take shots in the front or the back, whatever it is, I’m gonna die for my team out there and I know they’re going to do the same for me. That’s what makes us so close. That’s what makes the national championship so special."

But while Mendoza was celebrating, Beck was spotted walking off of the field.
The Miami Hurricanes quarterback has been accused of leaving the field without shaking hands on Monday night.
Beck called out for 'classless' decision
Beck was accused of not shaking hands on the field.
"Sportsmanship is NOT his thing. Miami QB Carson Beck walked off the field without shaking Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza’s hand after the National Championship!" one reporter shared.
Should the Hurricanes quarterback have done more?
