After three years with the Ohio State Buckeyes, wide receiver Carnell Tate is taking the next step in his football career. On Jan. 6, after the Buckeyes' Cotton Bowl Classic loss to the Miami Hurricanes, he announced he is declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft.

Tate has put together an impressive resume during his time with Ohio State. Over the last three years, he's appeared in 39 games, racking up 121 receptions, 1,872 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was also a key piece to the Buckeyes' national championship-winning season in 2024.

Establishing himself as a consistent piece for their offense, Tate became a fan favorite for the Buckeyes.

His popularity led the former four-star recruit to be at the forefront of several exciting off-field opportunities. In the age where players are able to profit because of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL), he's revealed partnerships with Dr Pepper, Crocs and Adidas.

As he prepares for the NFL draft, companies continue to line up. On Monday, Tate announced a new partnership with Snickers. The reveal also signaled that there may be more to come on Wednesday.

"Too many hot takes, not enough chill," he wrote via an Instagram post. "I’ll handle the haters on 4/15 @SNICKERS #SNK_Partner."

With this latest partnership announced, anticipation continues to grow for the NFL draft. Beginning on April 23, Tate is widely regarded as one of the top players. ESPN ranks him as the No. 3 wide receiver and No. 13 player available.

Tate hopes to become the sixth Ohio State wide receiver picked in the first round, joining Emeka Egbuka (2025), Marvin Harrison Jr (2024), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (2023), Garrett Wilson (2022) and Chris Olave (2022).
