Carmella said there was a point during her ectopic pregnancy when she briefly thought about divorce from Corey Graves, speaking on the Oct. 6 episode of her Hot Mom Sh!t podcast.
The former WWE star, Leah Van Dale, discussed how she and Graves processed the medical emergency differently. She said Graves initially did not grasp how serious the situation was while she was being transported by ambulance to another hospital.

“I’m in the hospital and I’m getting transported by ambulance to another hospital, and he was just like, ‘Oh, I have to go home,’ because his son was getting a haircut,” Carmella said, per Ringside News and eWrestlingNews.
She said those were “not equal priorities,” and that she felt Graves still believed there was a chance the pregnancy might continue while she feared a fallopian-tube rupture and thought she “could potentially die.”
Divorce Crossed Her Mind
Carmella said she was “so mad at him” in the moment and that the thought of divorce briefly entered her mind because she did not feel he understood he needed to sit with her while she was sick.
“I wasn’t like, ‘That’s it, I’m divorcing him,’ because, I mean, don’t get me wrong, I definitely thought it for a minute,” she said. “I was like, ‘Does he not even understand that he has to sit with me when I’m sick?'”
A few days later, she said, the gravity hit Graves. He “broke,” apologized, and grew from the experience. She also said he had a work trip scheduled while she was miscarrying and that his job allowed him to stay home.
Carmella stressed that Graves is “incredible” and “so supportive,” and that she does not want listeners to paint him as the villain. She called the ordeal a “pivotal moment” for their marriage because he “did significantly grow from that experience.”
Earlier Comments on Resentment and Therapy
Carmella has also discussed marriage strain after becoming parents. On Hot Mom Sh!t, she said she felt like the “default parent” after their first child, Dimitri, carrying the mental load of lunches, snacks, formula, diapers and other day-to-day needs even when Graves was an involved father, per Ringside News and WrestleZone.
“I had so much resentment that I never ever ever brought up until like I blew up and that’s why we had to go to therapy,” she said.
She described herself as being in a happy marriage and said therapy helped them talk through what she had bottled up. She said postpartum with their second child, Bram, was “so smooth and so great compared to Dimitri because we had therapy.”
After some wrestling accounts framed those comments as a marriage crisis, Carmella posted that she and Graves “have been doing couples therapy for years because it helps our marriage, even though there’s nothing wrong with it,” comparing it to going to the gym even when you are in shape, and telling the IWC to “Grow TF up,” per Ringside News.
