Two-time World Cup champion Carli Lloyd isn't interested in apologizing to U.S. men's national team star Christian Pulisic.
Pulisic had a rough World Cup despite being hyped up as the United States' top player. He finished the tournament without a single goal and ended up leaving the Round of 16 match against Belgium early.
During FOX's post-match show on Monday night, Lloyd called out Pulisic for his underwhelming performance on the big stage.
“You wanted some of those big-time players to step up in big moments,” Lloyd said. “I gotta be honest, I was a bit disappointed with Christian Pulisic. Whether he wants to be the star of this team or not, we didn’t see enough from him in this particular game and, really, the whole World Cup. Little glimpses here or there.”
Lloyd also had an issue with Pulisic saying he now has "time to rest" after the USMNT was eliminated.
"You rest when your playing career is over," Lloyd wrote on social media. "Period."

Was Carli Lloyd wrong for her take?
It was revealed this Thursday that Pulisic suffered a bone bruise and microfracture in his leg against Belgium.
“Pulisic appeared to sustain the injury in the 52nd minute of the U.S. men’s national team’s 4-1 defeat, when he wound up to take a shot at the edge of the penalty box but instead kicked the back of Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans’ calf,” The Athletic reported.
Once this report was shared by The Athletic, countless U.S. soccer fans asked Lloyd to apologize to Pulisic. However, she's got no interest in doing that.
"I don’t owe anyone an apology," Lloyd said. "My comment wasn’t about his post game interview. He skipped Gold Cup last summer because he wanted to rest and be ready for WC. He ended up resting the whole year. That’s the facts. Nothing personal against him."
Clearly, Lloyd is willing to stand 10 toes down on her initial statement.
