There's nothing more hazardous to a man's reputation than breaking up with a singer because breakups are notoriously strong motivators for the most creative sides to come out.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs might be learning that the hard way as Cardi B - his recent ex-girlfriend - took some not-so-veiled shots at him recently.

According to Fox News, during a recent performance on her "Little Miss Drama Tour" in San Francisco the Grammy-winning rapper went on a little onstage rant while announcing her next song. It didn't exactly take a genius to figure out who she was ranting about/

"It’s called principle," Cardi B said. "You can’t be out here playing with a (expletive) like me. There’s (expletive) out here praying for a (expletive) like me.

"I’m too sexy to be lonely and too grown to be played with. Who you playin’ with (expletive)?" she added.

Whether it truly was a shot at Diggs or just a general rant to pump up the crowd, Cardi B covered her legal bases on X sometime later, stating that there were no personal shots or digs at anyone.

"Dear blogs, when I perform a song I always introduce the song with a lil razzle dazzle.. not everything a shot or personal," she wrote. "I’m actually repeating lyrics from the songs…Relax."

X to Doubt

Fans on X were skeptical of her assertion that there was no correlation to her breakup with Stefon Diggs though. But plenty of fans sprang to her defense.

"They want the tea on you & Diggs sooo bad. It’s killing them that they have none," one user remarked.

"They want info on your relationship (between) Diggs and you so bad... it’s killing them that they don’t have any tea about it. It’s why they be making and running with this crazy narratives!!" wrote another.

"They know it but things are slow for them and the good ain’t good enough for them," a third wrote.

It's been a rough 2026 for Stefon Diggs to be sure. Between his ongoing legal dispute over an assault arrest hanging over his postseason with the New England Patriots and his uncertain future in New England, he's definitely had better offseasons.
